With the double cylinder lock there is two keyed alike cylinders one the interior and exterior portion of the aluminum storefront door. This type of locking application does not meet local state or city code requirements for a front entrance door. A double cylinder locking application is best used on doors when you want to keep people from going in or out of any given location or area.
Typical aluminum storefront door locks are called thumb turn locks, which has a thumb turn on the interior portion of the aluminum storefront door and a keyed cylinder on the exterior portion of the storefront door. This is also the same type of design that is on almost all residential front entrance doors.
