A standard lock for an aluminum storefront door is referred to as a thumb turn lock. A thumb turn lock has a thumb turn on the interior portion of the aluminum storefront door and a keyed cylinder for the exterior portion of the aluminum storefront door. The thumb turn locking configuration is the typical type of lock that is seen on 99.9% of residential front entrance doors.
