Top rail is the top most horizontal portion of a storefront door that attaches in between the two stiles of the aluminum storefront door and is the width of the daylight opening, "which is the door glass width".
A storefront door is comprised of a top rail, bottom rail, left stile, and right stile.
The face, or height, of a aluminum storefront door top rail is approximately the same size as the stile of the door. When you buy new commercial aluminum storefront doors the face of the top rail will expand in size depending on the stile size of the new door.
